Recursion memes

Recursion is one of maybe four programming concepts with a real meme canon. Here is most of it.

The Anakin and Padme four panel meme, with the whole meme repeating inside its own third panel at smaller and smaller scale.
The base case is the part everyone forgets. The meme doesn't just describe the bug, it commits it. Panel three is the entire meme again, and again, until the resolution runs out.
A cat asleep on a desk in front of a monitor, which displays a photo of the same cat asleep in front of the same monitor, repeating into the distance.
Proof of concept, roughly a decade early. A cat, a monitor showing the cat, a monitor inside that showing it again. Someone built recursion cat before we did and then went to sleep.
A motivational poster reading RECURSION, Here we go again, containing a smaller copy of the same poster, repeating inward.
Here we go again. The demotivational poster format was already a rigid frame inside a frame, so it took almost no effort to make it eat itself.
The is this a pigeon anime meme, distorted so the character and the caption smear across the frame repeating dozens of times.
A stack that never unwinds. The caption stops being a sentence and turns into the error. This is what it looks like from the inside when nothing returns.

All memes here belong to whoever made them. We didn't, we're just appreciating the form.
